Why Obstetric Ultrasound is Essential?

Obstetric ultrasound plays a vital role in monitoring fetal health, identifying potential complications, and ensuring timely medical interventions. It provides real-time images of your baby’s development, helping doctors track growth patterns, detect structural abnormalities, and assess placental function.

Our Obstetric USG Services

Early Pregnancy Scan

Detects pregnancy viability, confirms gestational age, and checks for multiple pregnancies, ensuring a healthy start.

Nuchal Translucency (NT) Scan

Performed between 11-14 weeks, this scan measures fluid at the back of the baby’s neck to screen for chromosomal abnormalities like Down syndrome.

Anomaly Scan

First trimester scan to detect early structural abnormalities. And a scan at 18-22 weeks to assess fetal organs, brain, spine, limbs, and detect any congenital anomalies.

Fetal Echo & Neurosonography

Specialized scans to evaluate fetal heart and brain development, detecting congenital heart defects and neurological conditions.

Growth Scan & Biophysical Profile

Monitors fetal growth, movement, breathing, and amniotic fluid levels in the third trimester to ensure a healthy delivery.

3D/4D Ultrasound Imaging

Provides real-time, high-resolution images of your baby, enhancing parental bonding and improving diagnostic accuracy.

For Your Information

The first ultrasound is usually performed around 6-8 weeks to confirm pregnancy, check for multiple pregnancies, and assess the baby’s heartbeat and gestational age.

Yes, ultrasound is completely safe when performed by trained professionals. It uses sound waves, not radiation, ensuring no harm to the baby or mother.

  • 2D Ultrasound provides standard black-and-white images.
  • 3D Ultrasound offers detailed images of the baby’s facial features and body.
  • 4D Ultrasound gives real-time moving images, allowing you to see your baby’s expressions and movements.

An anomaly scan, done at 18-22 weeks, assesses the baby’s organs, brain, spine, heart, and limbs to detect any structural abnormalities early for timely medical intervention.

For early pregnancy scans (first trimester), a full bladder helps provide clearer images. However, for later scans, a full bladder is usually not required.
